Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting our website. We take your privacy very seriously. In the following, we offer a detailed explanation of how we use your data. Collecting, processing and using personal data.

You are free to visit our website without the need to provide your personal data. We store only anonymous, non-personal access data such as the name of your Internet service provider, the web page you use before you visit us or the name of the requested file. This data is evaluated exclusively to improve our service, and cannot be used to identify you personally. Personally identifiable data is collected only if you submit it to us voluntarily to order goods, open an account or subscribe to our newsletter. We use the data provided voluntarily by you to complete and process your order without seeking additional consent. Once the order has been processed and the full purchase price has been paid your data is blocked to prevent it being used again, and is deleted after expiry of legally binding tax and commercial retention periods unless you expressly consent to the continued use of your data. The email address you submit when subscribing to our newsletter will be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe. It is possible to unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.

Use of cookies
We use cookies on different pages to make your visit to our website more user-friendly and facilitate the use of certain functions. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. Most of the cookies used by us are deleted from your hard drive when you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer to enable us to recognize your computer the next time you visit our website (so-called persistent cookies). These cookies make it unnecessary to re-enter your password when making subsequent orders or fill out forms with your data. Our partner companies are not allowed to use cookies to collect, process or use personal data on our website.

Creating pseudonymous user profiles for web analysis purposes
This website uses Google Analytics services from Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files, stored on your computer to analyze how you use our website. Google usually transfers the information generated by the cookies about your use of this website to a server in the USA, where it is stored. However, in the event the anonymize IP function is activated on this website, Google first abbreviates your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other countries party to the agreement covering the European economic area. In exceptional cases Google transfers the full IP address to a server in the USA, where it is abbreviated. Google uses this data on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and provide further services associated with website and Internet usage for the website operator. Google does not merge the browser IP address transferred by Google Analytics with other data collected by Google. It is possible to change your browser settings to prevent cookies being stored on your computer; however, we would like to point out that in that case it is possible you will not be able to use all of the functions available on this website to the full extent. Furthermore, you can prevent the data generated by the cookie based on your usage of this website (including your anonymous IP address) being sent to Google as well as prevent Google processing the data by downloading and installing this browser plugin.

This website uses clear gifs from Multiview, Inc. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Multiview does not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to personally identifiable information. This anonymous data includes, but is not limited to, information such as a web visitor’s IP address, web pages which have been viewed by a web visitor, date and time, domain type, and responses by a web visitor to an advertisement delivered by us or a third party advertising technology vendor. As the Internet evolves, Multiview may use different types of technologies to collect these types of anonymous, non-personally identifiable information. The collection of this anonymous data allows Multiview and its advertisers to better target advertising to user interests. The data also allows Multiview to provide improvements to services, for example, improving the effectiveness of the advertisements delivered to users and limiting the number of times a person sees a given advertisement.

The web analytics tool "Mouseflow" from the web analysis company Mouseflow is used on this website to collect and store data from which pseudonymous user profiles are created. These user profiles are used to analyze visitor behaviour; they are also evaluated to enable us to further improve and tailor our services to meet the needs of our customers.

Cookies can be used for the following purposes. They are small text files stored locally on the computer of the user visiting our website to allow our system to recognize the visitor the next time he or she visits our website.

Pseudonanonymous user profiles are not merged with any personal data of the person in question by means of the pseudonym profile without his or her express consent, which must be sought and granted separately.

You may withdraw your consent allowing data to be collected and stored for web analytics purposes in the future by stating your wish in writing to our data protection compliance officer at any time.

Disclosure of personal data
Your personal data is disclosed to the parcel carrier company charged with delivering your goods, if the data is required to make the delivery. We pass on your payment details to the financial institution responsible for processing the payments.

Contract text
We store the contract text and send you a copy of the order data and our Terms and Conditions per email. It is possible to view our Terms and Conditions at any time here. For data security reasons it is no longer possible to access order data via the Internet.

Under the (German) Federal Data Protection Act you are entitled to information free of charge about any stored personal data and, if you so wish, you have the right to instruct us to correct, block or delete your data.
